Hi All,

I am using the below if command to comparing two variables but is condition is true but going in else part.

if [ ${DS_UP} -eq 0 -a ${DS_UP_SYS} -eq 0 ] ; then
TAKE_SNAPS

echo "Snaps updates done"

UPDATE_DS_SNAPS_TAKEN
else
echo "Seemes DS & JDP is still running KIndly investigate"
# TAKE_SNAPS
UPDATE_DS_SNAPS_TAKEN
echo "Snaps done"

ALERT "DS backup issue - Please investigate."
LOGGER "DS backup issue - Please investigate."
fi
#################################

Can some one help me out is my if condition is OK.

Why not try testing out a simplified version first, just plug different values into the variables and see if it does what you expect - seems to be working fine for me so I suspect your code that sets DS_UP and DS_UP_SYS isn't quite doing what you think.

if [ ${DS_UP} -eq 0 -a ${DS_UP_SYS} -eq 0 ] ; then
    echo "Snaps updates done"
else
   echo "Seems DS & JDP is still running KIndly investigate"

The function CHECK_DS_STATUS waits till either of DS_UP or DS_UP_SYS is zero but your if statement requires both to be zero

Try this. The excaped brackets enclose the "or" condition.
