Checking for existence of stored procedure through script
Hi,

I have a stored procedure which takes in arguments from my script and deletes rows from a table.
Before calling the procedure from the script i want to make sure if the procedure actually exists.If it exists, i want to pass values to the procedure and execute it.if the stored procedure does not exists, i want to exit with a non-zero return code.

Can anyone let me know how this can be done.

Yes you can check that , query USER_OBJECTS table for the OBJECT_TYPE as 'PROCEDURE' to see whether the procedure exists or not .
