No Manual Entry

Hi,
While executing the following command i am getting output as command not found.
iostat
output: command not found

Also, man iostat is displaying "NO Manual Entry"

Why is it so?

what do you mean by utility? Does it means some iostat packages has not been installed on my server?

I don't know what you mean by 'packages' in this context, but the utility/executable/binary/whatnot called 'iostat' is not found on your system.

Hi Salil,

What do you want to achieve. iostat is a utility in windows, i dont know if it is there in any flaour of unix.

iostat (and vmstat) are standard unix utilities which pre-date M$.
What operating system are you running?
uname -a

I'm sure it's really easy, but I have searched on Google and on the forums and haven't found anything. For instance, if I open the grep manual (man grep), I can't close it.
