When i sent the mail to my hotmail id, file name is coming fully ie.
ABC_DEFG_HIJ.zip. No problem.

But when i sent mails to my offical id(MSMail),...

I am using the following command to send a zip file as an attachment to my internet email-id.


uuencode ABC_DEFG_HIJ.zip ABC_DEFG_HIJ.zip | mail -s "attachment from shell" pal@yahoo.com

...

Is there any commands in UNIX, like isopen(),isclose() to know whether a file has been opened for read/write purpose.?
