When i say ls * (HP-UX 11.11)in a particular directory it says

sh: /usr/bin/ls: The parameter list is too long.

Can somebody help me how to resolve this problem.

i want to do is whenever there is a coredump
I want to find the filename above that in this case
(UTX00120040423162459880586)
and rename that file
