How do I make it so user "root" can not log directly into an AIX server? I want a user to be able to SU to it but not log into it to keep a log

if user diag is removed with a -r will it delete usr/mds ? and if so will this prevent a system from booting?

Alright the solutions worked and I used the set_parm IP address to change the address this time... NOw the boot up is stuck on "Start DCE DAEMONS" this is killing me... Any help would be greatly...
