i'm sorry for the delay response here, but the issue with my problem was ssh was not enable to the target server, so after enabling ssh on the target server my issue got resolved.

i have implemented Rsync in my source and destination server. while running through command prompt it is working fine:
ksh rsync_bravo_db.ksh usa0300uz1252.apps.mc.xerox.com...

-bash-3.2$ tar xvf rsync-3.0.9.tar.gz
tar: directory checksum error

it also has some error.

here is the output of tar and the os version:

it says this error:
-bash-3.2$ file rsync-3.0.9.tar.gz
rsync-3.0.9.tar.gz: gzip compressed data - deflate method , original file name

used it, but getting some error:
bash-3.2$ gunzip rsync-3.0.9.tar.gz

gzip: rsync-3.0.9.tar.gz: invalid compressed data--format violated
