First of all are you able to ping the sunos from that PC???if yes,then please post the output 1.grep console /etc/default/login
2.grep root /etc/ftpd/ftpusers files

U have to modify two files 1./etc/default/login if console=/dev/console is set then only root can login to the other device so comment that line if it is not commented...2./etc/ftpd/ftpusers...

Im using VMware and ive installed solaris 10 in that..ive configured virtual disks in that n im using it..my question is if im gona configure zones in it do i need a seperate NIC...

im using UFS filesystem..and if i use mv command data and permissions will not be copied properly as far as i kno...any other option for this...anythin like rsync..please let me kno..im not sure...
