Unfortunately 5.0.7 does not detect or will use SATA tape streamers.

It will use SCSI DAT tape streamers just fine.

SCO might be using SATA drivers to access the RAID array, but this won't help...

I have compiled a binary of stunnel for SCO Openserver 5.0.7

At the moment the binary is in /u/testroom/sbin/stunnel

as root I cd to /u/testroom/sbin and start the stunnel daemon up...

Installed GNU make and the GNU C/C++ compiler on SCO Openserver 5.0.7 recently.

Only a normal user is able to run make and compile programs - root is not able to.

Under root, make do run, but...

Will do so - haven't logged on for a while on the forums.

NM - ignore the OP.

Got it to compile, but the make scripts aren't correct as they won't work on opensuse.

I will also try it on Fedora and other distros to see if I experience the same issues....

You'll need the RAWRITE program to write the disk images to a stiffy disk.

SCOAdmin's a scary place to go in, but with patience one will be able to survive that experience.

I added a tape drive in the meantime, but I used the name of the HBA, and was able to access it with fdisk and divvy. :)

Following my success installing SCO openserver 5.0.7 on an HP ML350 G5 last time, I have been instructed to install the same 5.0.7 on an HP ML310 G5.

The ML310 G5 have the same RAID...

After reading the FAQ for the first time, I noticed Rule # 14 :
