we are using one of the non-global-zones for a jboss application...

any other controllers (maybe ide) / hdds which are before the sata in the boot sequence?

allready tryed to stop the current /usr/sfw/sbin/snmpd process and
execute #> svcadm enable svc:/application/management/snmpdx:default ?

did you try the <ok# boot cdrom -s > option ?
then if the system is coming up simply runa fsck for the damaged filesystems
like fsck /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s4 whatever your /usr might be

the ^ refers to the beginning of a line wenn using the sed so you have to mask it like \^M so the correct vi / sed command should look like

:%s/\^M//g

alom odr ilom ? standard at the t2210 is the newer ilom
where its like
set /HOST send_break_action=break
and then
start /SP/console
to enter...
