i figured out the problem. I viewed the output from dmesg and found:
PCI: this computer doesnt support PCI

so i added "pci=bios" to the entry for redhat8 and it works fine now.

its because sshd wants to be run as the user...
its because sshd wants to be run as the user named ssh. It didnt make the user when you installed. I dont know what you will have to do to make the user ssh, as its a special user.
