the new system disk is connected separetly on sata on board port and the old hard disks connected sas on backplane that coneccted to the Raid mega sas card LSI

---------- Post updated at 01:16 PM ---------- Previous update was at 12:01 PM ----------

-the sata disk (system disk) is connected and i'm booting from it
-the mega sas controller is connected and the old configuration is still configured
-the old 3 hard disk configured from LSI bios
the case now that i cant see the 3 SAS hard disks from the installed sco on sata disk.
PS: i'm booting from the sata disk as u advised.
how to install the LSI SAS S2108 (D2616) after the sco unixware 7.1.4 installed on SATA disk ? to let the old 3 H.Ds (SAS) can be accessible from SATA disk to mount the corrupted /etc ?
i'm stuck on this step !!

Download the driver from LSI and install it using pkgadd.
When you re-boot the system the RAID controller should be automatically found as new hardware.

i already have the driver and tried the pkgadd -d but error occurred and cannot be installed

Is the fujitsu driver different from the LSI driver. You could try using the Lsi driver, but if that fails, you may have to send the error messages to fujitsu.

LSI driver installed, old file system mounted on /mnt (done)
but when i try to (cp -rp etc /home) as a trial before copy it on the /mnt error occured and the /etc not copped correctly !!

When you list (ls -l) the contents of /mnt, does it look like a root file system?
Can you copy anything from /mnt to /tmp?

Many of the files in the root file system are links. Those links will not be correct when the file system is not mounted as /.
If it is possible to mount the non-root file systems, you might consider copying their contents to an offline device.
