Question I'm too getting the same error !!

First got "Cannot Fork to run /tcb/lib/initcond: Resource temporarily unavailable (error 11)" at startup after booting system backdated it got ready. Then found out an error on the login screen "the Licensing policy manager daemon (Ifor_pmd) has terminated and been restarted.....etc" also license manager in Scoadmin is giving errors all of a sudden? This all happened instantly without any changes to the system. Im also out of clues trying to find a proper solution. If anyone knows please help us to rectify the issue.

Thanks.Smilie

first you have to enter the single user mode.

On startup when the String "Boot" appears, press enter
The system will ask you after the splash screen for the root password.

then you can set the date and reboot
for example:
date -t 1508081210
init 6

after the system comes up again, you can login in the multi-user mode.
use date-t to reenter the right date

today our system showed a message:
The Licensing Policy Manager Daemon (ifor_pmd) has terminated and been restarted. ...

after that some applications does not work anymore. i had to restart the server with the date in the past.

then i tryed, in single user mode, to re-check the licence.
i startet scoadmin and went to the licence manager. With the actual date, i got an error, the licence manager does not start. after changing the date to the past it was possible to start the licence manager.

could this be a licence problem? any ideas?

You can use the work around in post 59 of this thread to make sure that the system boots.
If you have the Enterprise version, then you may be able to install ntp in order to maintain the correct time.
You cannot upgrade this machine to a later version of SCO.
If you have a Compaq license and not an SCO license for the operating system, then you will need a new license as well.
If your application software is in custom format, you will have to copy the software and the data from the old system as you will not be able to install it on 5.0.6 or later.
