RedHat How to Backup the Virtual Machine In RHEL 6.2?

Hi all ,

I'm using RHEL 6.2 , Installed centos and ubuntu in virtual machine , I have installed those virtual machines in a partitions such as /dev/sda5

Centos 6.2 installed in /dev/sda5
ubuntu 12.04 installed in /dev/sda6

how can i backup it and restore in any condition while if there is any need to restore .. Any one have idea please help me out ....

can its possible to Backup in command line and can i restore it ?
can i store it in / ...

you have to power off the vm to run the backup by mounting their file systems or dd them out unless you have backup agents running in your vm

It would be easier if you use LVM volumes. This way you could make VM snapshots without stopping the virtual machine.
