I ssh from Windows to Linux server and execute a few commands. I have ssh keys setup between them and works fine.
The commands get executed on the Linux server however I wish to stay on the Linux terminal that was opened by putty.exe. However, the terminal simply does the job and closes.

I installed CentOS 8 with Gnome 3.28.2 and I noticed that the "switch user" menu item disappeared from under the system menu of Gnome classic (Both X11 & Wayland). I checked google and this problem seems to have a history going back several releases of Gnome.

Could anyone please tell me how to create a basic menu system that enables a user to select and run a script from a list of choices?
I was thinking along the lines of "push 1 to start script 1", "push 2 to start script 2" etc
