Question [ URGENT] - HDD visible to OS without reboot


I have added 30 GB Vmware Scsci disk in RHEL

[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga)

I want to make this 30 GB visible to OS without reboot.

Pls help

Hi, I have a strange problem. when i do ls i see a folder, say 'abc', but it disappears when i do ls -l. I cannot access or mv that folder.
