I cannot find ext2online or resize2fs in RHEL 4 rescue mode

Hi,

I'm trying to resize an ext3 FS (filesystem) under an LVM.

I have booted the OS (RHEL 4) in rescue mode using the CD media and I'm able to use lvm commands.

Now, I'm trying to shrink the filesystem before actually shrinking the logical volume but I cannot find ext2onlone or resize2fs (only in rescue mode); how can I shrink the FS then? Maybe I'm missing something? Smilie

Thanks.

Ok, I've managed so solve the issue by booting in normal mode (luckily the system was still functional), installing e2fsprogs from source, booting into rescue mode, mounting the FS, copying "ext2resize" from the mounted filesystem to the rescue filesystem, umounting again the filesystem, running the ext2resize tool, fsck'ing the disk and then shrinking the logical volume.

Thanks anyway; you can mark this thread as solved if anyone cares. Smilie
