create /var lvm during install

Hi All,

How do I create /var as LVM type during install? I want my new OS to have /var as LVM so that I could extend it on the fly.

Thanks for any comment you may add.

You will have LVM as an option during the partitioning of your local drive. You will specify /var as the mount point for a specific logical volume you create.

however, if you are doing a text based install, this will not occur. You either need to do a GUI based install or do it via kickstart, it must be part of the config.

Normally, you place more volumes in LVM, except for /boot, so that you can do what you had mentioned for almost all the disks.
