As Centos is intended as a server platform (based on RedHat source code) but Fedora is a desktop platform for beta testing RedHat I think the best bet is to copy the data off this machine using FTP, SCP,etc. or even write it to CD and then rebuild from scratch. That means you will have to be very certain about where any data has been stored, user home directories and user accounts in /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow being an obvious starting point, the password encryption used by Centos in /etc/shadow may not be compatible with that used in Fedora, in fact backup the whole of etc if you can to capture network settings, firewall rules etc.
