Templates and header file
I have some C++ code and want to have the class declarations in a .h file and the implementation in the .cpp file.

It seems however that for templates everything need to be put in the header (.h) file and will have problems if I try to separate the code to a .cpp file.

Is this correct? Is this the way to implement templates?

There's really no avoiding it, yes. Sometimes I think templates only promote the appearance of reusable code -- it's not one flexible object, the compiler has to regenerate it over and over, separately, for each different type.
