Without you posting the Makefile, it will be difficult for anybody here to help you.

Thanks for your interest in helping me!

To make things clearer: plymouth is the new splash for *NIX. Works much better than splashy (usplash is already being deprecated).
It crashes if waking up from hibernation. I though I could rename plymouthd to plymouthd.debian and then call it from a script. But since
it is called from initramfs, it tells me it couldn't find plymouthd.debian (even if I give the whole path or $0.debian). The script would exit if
a file exists (file generated when going to hibernate). Then I tried the same directly in the source.

Well, there are a few Makefiles. The one from the directory where the the binary is generated I couldn't upload (invalid file extension). I
think it might be much easier for you, who is experienced, to download the whole source. So here it goes that Makefile. BTW, the binary
is called plymouthd. The package is the source for plymouth distributed by debian Debian -- Details of package plymouth in sid.
