How to add inline tags in the posts?

Thanks.

Inline code tags:

[icode]...[/icode]

Other tags with line numbering:

...

...

...

OBTW, when I add inline code tags, I highlight the text, select the code tag icon in the editor, and then simply add the "i" in front of "code" (twice, beginning and end tags) to create the icode tag, that way I only type 2 letters, instead of 15 characters, being lazy Smilie

That's a good short-cut. thinking to adapt this Smilie
Do we have planning to have separate button for icode in future?

No, the forum advisors have already discussed this, and since the formatting of the inline tags do not work on multi-lines of code, it was decided not to create a button for it.

Sorry about that, but that was the collective wisdom of the advisory group after working with the tags.

Combining awk Inline and File Code

I've ended up with a small collection of libraries I like to use with awk, but this means I can't do awk -f librarycode.awk '{ program code }' filename because awk will assume that anything after -f is a filename, not code. Is there any way I can do both? (6 Replies)
