Open any thread, get a zero-byte blank page

I've made the thread title as descriptive as possible since I don't know if the admins can open it.

[edit] Well sure, now I can open THIS one. I'm getting it on any other thread I try in What's On Your Mind and High Level Programming.

[editing the edited edit] Okay, it's decided to make a liar of me now. It seems to be operating.

Nope, encountered it too. Seems like the HTTP server was rebooted or some part of the board updated.

Ahhhh... that was my fault again... .sorry about that.

I was working on some new code (for unregistered users) and misplaced a quote and it messed up the board. I thought it was only messed up for unregistered users, but now I realize the problem effected a number of settings.

It was so messed up I had to fix it by editing the database directly ....

Glad all is working OK again.
