Notify of a new thread

Hi,
I wish to be notified whenever there is a new thread posted on any of the forums or atleast the forums that I have registered to.
Can this be done. How?

I am sure there must be a way to do this, and I feel this is how the moderators must be doing. I know I may not be eligible enough to be one, but would certainly like to attend all the questions and ask as many as possible.

Please help me

Regards

well an email notification for any new thread might be a little too much of a hassle. and personally, i dont think it is needed. you might have overlooked this function of the site, which give you every new thread and new replies since your last visit.

Actually, what is wish to know is some kind of a trigger that will tell me that ok right now there is a new thread, and now it is time to check the unix.com, instead of me opening and checking the unix.com site by myself.

Anyways, our main focus is the knowledge sharing on the BIG BOSS. I only put forth the suggestion, which if does not involve too much of time can be thought of.

Let us not divert from our focus.
thanks anyway

we also have email notification of new threads that you are subscribed to. you become subscribed to a thread if you have created it, or have posted in it.
