Hi, I want to move to unix admin from support. Which unix can i learn to get into airlines industry projects? Thanks in advance.

Look at the number of threads in the Operating System section.
Solaris and RedHat have by far the most threads. Of course that could have several meanings: either there are significantly more of these installations, or the people using these systems are less knowledgeable.Smilie

I just had this odd idea that may even have some future. The advent of 3D screens for the mass market might prove useful for the healthcare industry, while in surgical practices they rely on medical imagery more and more often. Ken Thompson

Kenneth Lane Thompson is an American computer science legend who was born February 4, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ken was one of the key players who designed and implemented the original Unix operating system when he worked at Bell Labs. Ken also invented the B programming language which was the direct predecessor to the C programming language. He was also one of the creators and early developers of the Plan 9 operating system.
Ken has worked at Google since 2006. At Google, he co-invented the Go programming language. In the early days of Unix, he worked on regular expressions and early computer text editors such as QED and ed. His early work on computer chess included the creation of endgame tablebases and the chess machine Belle.
According to a 2009 interview, Ken is a Linux user.
