but is the release of this tool just there to comfort people who have fallen victim to all this FUD anyway? personally i would just wait to see what the courts have to say, then the next released kernel will contain the fixes anyway. i would trust kernel.org and my choice of distro more than anduva.

I don't think much of any of it. Critics of this tool ask questions like:

"What code is alleged SCO code, anyway?"

There seems to be many more questions than answers.

yeah. it would be interesting however to take a look at the source at this software, and see exactly what SCO says is their IP. especially since they have been so reluctant to say what the code that is infringing actually is.
