It should be used by application developers to determine the necessary command-line options for the compiler and linker, as well as determining installation directories for filters, configuration files, and drivers. The --api-version command displays the current API version (major.minor). The --cflags command displays the necessary compiler options. The --datadir command displays the default CUPS data directory. The --help command displays the program usage message. The --ldflags command displays the necessary linker options. The --libs command displays the necessary librarys to link to. The --image option adds the CUPS imaging library to the list. The --static option shows the static libraries instead of the default (shared) libraries. The --serverbin command displays the default CUPS binary directory, where filters and backends are stored. The --serverroot command displays the default CUPS configuration file directory.
