counter_bump - Update the current value of the basic counter.

SYNOPSIS
       counter_bump (void  , integer  $offset)

DESCRIPTION
       counter_bump(3) updates the current value of the basic interface's counter.

PARAMETERS
	      o $offset
		- The amount by which to change the counter's value. Can be negative.
