It reads the file header into the area of mem- ory beginning at filehead. ldfhread returns SUCCESS or FAILURE. If ldfhread cannot read the file header, it fails. Usually, ldfhread can be avoided by using the macro HEADER(ldptr) defined in <ldfcn.h> (see ldfcn(4)). Note that the information in HEADER is swapped, if necessary. The information in any field, fieldname, of the file header can be accessed using HEADER(ldptr).fieldname.
