LIBRARY

STANDARDS
Interfaces documented on this reference page conform to industry standards as follows: addstr, waddstr, waddnstr, mvaddstr, mvaddnstr, mvwaddstr, mvwaddnstr: XCURSES4.2 Refer to the standards(5) reference page for more information about industry standards and associated tags.
DESCRIPTION
These routines write the characters of the character string str on the given window. The four routines with n as the last argument write at most n characters. For the other routines, the string should be null-terminated. The effect of these functions is similar to calling waddch once for each character in the string. If n is negative, all routines add the entire string.
NOTES
The header file <curses.h> automatically includes the header file <stdio.h>. Note that all of these routines except waddnstr may be macros.
RETURN VALUES
All routines return the integer ERR upon failure and OK upon successful completion.
