This tunable is provided to prevent an unprivileged user from maliciously consuming the system resources by opening a large number of cloned DLPI streams. Who Is Expected to Change This Tunable? Privileged user. Restrictions on Changing Changes to this tunable take effect at the next reboot. When Should the Value of This Tunable Be Raised? This tunable should be raised when the number of DLPI applications is more than the default value. What Are the Side Effects of Raising the Value? Possible side effects would be slower system performance.
