tic(1M) 																   tic(1M)

NAME
       tic - terminfo compiler

SYNOPSIS
       [n]] file ...

DESCRIPTION
       translates terminfo files from source format into the compiled format.  Results are placed in the directory

       Specifies that (verbose) output be written to standard
		 error	trace information showing tic's progress. The optional integer is a number from 1 to 10, inclusive, indicating the desired
		 level of detail of information.  If is omitted, the default level is 1. If is specified and greater than 1, the level	of  detail
		 is increased.

       Specifies to check only file for errors. Errors in
		 are not detected.

       compiles  all  terminfo descriptions in the given files.  When a field is discovered, searches first the current file, then the master file

       Limitations: total compiled entries cannot exceed 4096 bytes.  The name field cannot exceed 128 bytes.
