NAME
       ident - identify files in RCS

SYNOPSIS
       file ...

DESCRIPTION
       searches the named files for all occurrences of the pattern where keyword is one of the following:

	      These patterns are normally inserted automatically by the
	      RCS command, but can also be inserted manually (see co(1)).

       works on text files as well as object files.  For example, if the C program in file contains:

       and is compiled into the command:

       prints:
