NAME
rfio_read - reads in a file
SYNOPSIS
#include <sys/types.h> #include "rfio_api.h" int rfio_read (int s, void *ptr, int size);
DESCRIPTION
rfio_read reads in the file and store in ptr, a pointer to the memory location in which to place the information, size bytes, using the descriptor s generated by a previous rfio_open.
RETURN VALUE
This routine returns -1 if the operation failed or the number of bytes actually read. In case of failure, serrno is set appropriately.
ERRORS
EBADF s is not a valid descriptor. SENOSHOST Host unknown. SENOSSERV Service unknown. SETIMEDOUT Timed out. SEBADVERSION Version ID mismatch. SECONNDROP Connection closed by remote end. SECOMERR Communication error. SENORCODE Host did not return error number.
