SYNOPSIS
pbsnodes [-a] [node_id...]
DESCRIPTION
The pbsnodes command displays information about nodes.
OPTIONS -a Display information for all nodes. This is the default if no node name is specified.

qsub - submit a batch job in a familiar pbs format
SYNOPSIS
qsub [-a date_time]
[-A account_string]
[-b secs]
[-C directive_prefix]

DESCRIPTION
The qsub command displays information about nodes. It is aimed to be feature-compatible with PBS' qsub.
OPTIONS -a Display information for all nodes. This is the default if no node name is specified.
-I Interactive execution.
-j join
It is not necessary (currently also not possible) since stderr/stdout are always joined.
-v [variable_list]
Exporting single variables via -v is not supported, since the entire login environment is exported by the default.
-V The -V option to export the current environment is not required since it is done by default.

I have a cluster set up with a head node and compute nodes running TORQUE and MOAB. The distro is ROCKS 5.3. I've been having problems with the connectivity for the past couple weeks now. Every couple hours it seems like the network connectivity will just stop working: sometimes it'll start back up... (0 Replies)
Goal: for each hostname (mars, phobos, and deimos grab the value of state = in a variable so I work on it further.
I figured I'll need to use sed to find the target host name, then substitute the "linefeed and what I am assuming is a tab state =" to null and grab the state (in this case "free")... (3 Replies)
Hi,
I am new in system administration. I observe that some nodes in our cluster
are not considered as active by showq:
22 active jobs 217 of 257 processors in use by local jobs (84.44%)
15 of 17 nodes active (88.24%)
but then I try to log into... (1 Reply)
