pull-debian-source - download and extract a source package from Debian
SYNOPSIS
pull-debian-source [options] <source package> [release|version]
DESCRIPTION
pull-debian-source downloads and extracts the specified version of source package, or the latest version in the specified Debian release.
pull-debian-source will try the preferred mirror, default mirror, security mirror, and fall back to Launchpad or snapshot.debian.org, in
search of the requested version.
OPTIONS
source package
The source package to download from Debian.
release
The release to download the source package from. Defaults to unstable.
version
The specific version of the package to download.
-d, --download-only
Do not extract the source package.
-m DEBIAN_MIRROR, --mirror=DEBIAN_MIRROR
Use the specified mirror. Should be in the form http://ftp.debian.org/debian. If the package isn't found on this mirror,
pull-debian-source will fall back to the default mirror.
-s DEBSEC_MIRROR, --security-mirror=DEBSEC_MIRROR
Use the specified mirror. Should be in the form http://security.debian.org. If the package isn't found on this mirror,
pull-debian-source will fall back to the default mirror.
--no-conf
Do not read any configuration files, or configuration from environment variables.
-h, --help
Display the usage instructions and exit.
ENVIRONMENT
All of the CONFIGURATION VARIABLES below are also supported as environment variables. Variables in the environment take precedence to
those in configuration files.
CONFIGURATION VARIABLES
The following variables can be set in the environment or in ubuntu-dev-tools(5) configuration files. In each case, the script-specific
variable takes precedence over the package-wide variable.

I hope I am posting in the correct forum.
I have a server - which I am installing solaris 9 on.
The server currently has 2 disks. I wish to run solaris 9 on one, and use the other as a mirror for the first one. ie. If the first one should ever fail, then I can swap to the mirror and just... (18 Replies)
Ok, so I have a remote system (7 states away) that's using SDS to manage the two 18 gig disks. /, swap, /var, /home, and /opt.
The mirroring procedure I created uses installboot to ensure there's a bootblk on both disks of an SDS mirror.

Hi all,
I have an HACMP (v5.3.0.0) cluster vg attached to ibm shark that need to be decommissioned. The data need to move to the HP EVA disk. The OS is on AIX 5200-10. The plan is to add a new disk from EVA & mirror the existing vg & break the mirror from Shark disk once the mirror finished.

Apparently (at least) 2 of the servers responsible for serving the static images and the JavaScript are down or otherwise unreachable. Affected are www.unix.com and www.unix.com, while www.unix.com is still up. A check on this website confirmed it. Checked as of 2010-06-16 08:11 UTC. (13 Replies)

I would also like to know if I need first to create a pool before I can mirror my disks inside that pool.
My first disk is c7t0d0s0 and my second disk is c7t2d0s0 as seen in the figure below.
I would create a pool named rpool1 for this 2 disks.

Hello,
I recently patched my Solaris 10 box and found out that few of the apps are not working. Fortunately, I had detached the mirroring prior to patching, so I just booted into my secondary disk and found that my apps are working....

Hi All,
I have a vg that consists of 2 physical disks (PV), To migrate the vg into these 2 new disks (presented from different SAN Storage), I use the mirrorvg command, but I am not sure the command I use is correct.

in trying to rectify a stale lv problem I ran rmlvcopy <lv> 1 <primary disk> leaving the original os disk without lv copies other than the stale lv.
Both disks seem operational, but, lsvg rootg shows 1 stale pv.
The end goal is to re-attach the lv's back to hdisk1, and then attempt a reboot... (11 Replies)
