textout_centre_ex(3alleg4) Allegro manual textout_centre_ex(3alleg4)NAME
textout_centre_ex - Writes a centered string on a bitmap. Allegro game programming library.
SYNOPSIS
#include <allegro.h>
void textout_centre_ex(BITMAP *bmp, const FONT *f, const char *s, int x, y, int color, int bg);
DESCRIPTION
Like textout_ex(), but interprets the x coordinate as the centre rather than the left edge of the string. Example:
/* Important texts go in the middle. */
width = text_length("GAME OVER");
textout_centre_ex(screen, font, "GAME OVER",
SCREEN_W / 2, SCREEN_H / 2,
makecol(255, 0, 0), makecol(0, 0, 0));

textout_ex - Writes a string on a bitmap. Allegro game programming library.
SYNOPSIS
#include <allegro.h>
void textout_ex(BITMAP *bmp, const FONT *f, const char *s, int x, int y, int color, int bg);
DESCRIPTION
Writes the string `s' onto the bitmap at position x, y, using the specified font, foreground color and background color. If the background
color is -1, then the text is written transparently. If the foreground color is -1 and a color font is in use, it will be drawn using the
colors from the original font bitmap (the one you imported into the grabber program), which allows multicolored text output. For high and
true color fonts, the foreground color is ignored and always treated as -1. Example:
/* Show the program's version in blue letters. */
textout_ex(screen, font, "v4.2.0-beta2", 10, 10,
makecol(0, 0, 255), -1);

What is the point of this? Whenever I close my shell it appends to the history file without adding this. I have never seen it overwrite my history file.
# When the shell exits, append to the history file instead of overwriting it
