GLDELETESHADER(3G) OpenGL 3.3 GLDELETESHADER(3G)NAME
glDeleteShader - Deletes a shader object
C SPECIFICATION
void glDeleteShader(GLuint shader);
PARAMETERS
shader
Specifies the shader object to be deleted.
DESCRIPTION
glDeleteShader frees the memory and invalidates the name associated with the shader object specified by shader. This command effectively
undoes the effects of a call to glCreateShader().
If a shader object to be deleted is attached to a program object, it will be flagged for deletion, but it will not be deleted until it is
no longer attached to any program object, for any rendering context (i.e., it must be detached from wherever it was attached before it will
be deleted). A value of 0 for shader will be silently ignored.
To determine whether an object has been flagged for deletion, call glGetShader() with arguments shader and GL_DELETE_STATUS.
ERRORS
GL_INVALID_VALUE is generated if shader is not a value generated by OpenGL.
ASSOCIATED GETS
glGetAttachedShaders() with the program object to be queried
glGetShader() with arguments shader and GL_DELETE_STATUS

GLISSHADER(3G) OpenGL 3.3 GLISSHADER(3G)NAME
glIsShader - Determines if a name corresponds to a shader object
C SPECIFICATION
GLboolean glIsShader(GLuint shader);
PARAMETERS
shader
Specifies a potential shader object.
DESCRIPTION
glIsShader returns GL_TRUE if shader is the name of a shader object previously created with glCreateShader() and not yet deleted with
glDeleteShader(). If shader is zero or a non-zero value that is not the name of a shader object, or if an error occurs, glIsShader returns
GL_FALSE.
NOTES
No error is generated if shader is not a valid shader object name.
A shader object marked for deletion with glDeleteShader() but still attached to a program object is still considered a shader object and
glIsShader will return GL_TRUE.
ASSOCIATED GETS
glGetAttachedShaders() with a valid program object
glGetShader() with arguments shader and a parameter to be queried
glGetShaderInfoLog() with argument object
glGetShaderSource() with argument object

I deleted a large file (around 13 Gigs) from my system.
But the output of df -k remains the same. The
capacity % is constant. However one strange thing
is happening- My available space is decreasing, my used
space in increasing (The opposite should happen).
This is happening... (2 Replies)
I always thought that deleted text get stacked in the register. Then I can use '<x>p' to undelete, where <x> the number of the nth deletion. But when I try this it seems that only the last delete action get stored. Am I missing some kind of setting? (3 Replies)
