ott - FACE object architecture information
DESCRIPTION
The FACE object architecture stores information about object-types in an ASCII file named .ott (object type table) that is contained in
each directory. This file describes all of the objects in that directory. Each line of the .ott file contains information about one object
in pipe-separated fields. The fields are (in order):
name the name of the actual system file.
dname the name that should be displayed to the user, or a dot if it is the same as the name of the file.
description the description of the object, or a dot if the description is the default (the same as object-type).
object-type the FACE internal object type name.
flags object specific flags.
mod time the time that FACE last modified the object. The time is given as number of seconds since 1/1/1970, and is in hexa-
decimal notation.
object information an optional field, contains a set of semi-colon separated name=value fields that can be used by FACE to store any
other information necessary to describe this object.
FILES
.ott is created in any directory opened by FACE.

face - executable for the Framed Access Command Environment Interface
SYNOPSIS
face [-i init_file] [-c command_file] [-a alias_file] [filename...]
DESCRIPTION
The Framed Access Command Environment Interface (FACE) presents your files and file folders on the screen through a system of menus and
forms if you are properly set up as a FACE user.
filename must follow the naming convention Menu.xxx for a menu, Form.xxx for a form, and Text.xxx for a text file, where xxx is any string
that conforms to the UNIX system file naming conventions. The Form and Menu Language Interpreter (FMLI) descriptor lifetime will be
ignored for all frames opened by argument to face. These frames have a lifetime of immortal by default. If filename is not specified on the
command line, the FACE Menu will be opened along with those objects specified by the
LOGINWIN environment variables. These variables are found in the user's .environ file.
OPTIONS
The following options are supported:
-a alias_file Alias file
-c command_file Command file
-i init_file Initial file
OPERANDS
The following operand is supported:
filename The full pathname of the file describing the object to be opened initially.
EXIT STATUS
The face command will return a non-zero exit value if the user is not properly set up as a FACE user.
FILES
$HOME/pref/.environ

Well, it's been a few months now since we started running the toolbar on the bottom with some navigation menu, search, link to code tag video, some social networking tools, etc.
So, the question of the day is:
Should we keep it, maybe develop more toolbar apps, or dump it?
