wmemchr(3C) Standard C Library Functions wmemchr(3C)NAMEwmemchr - find a wide-character in memorySYNOPSIS#include <wchar.h> wchar_t *wmemchr(const wchar_t *ws, wchar_t wc, size_t n); ISO C++ #include <wchar.h> const wchar_t *wmemchr(const wchar_t *ws, wchar_t wc, size_t n); #include <cwchar> wchar_t *std::wmemchr(wchar_t *ws, wchar_t wc, size_t n);DESCRIPTIONThe wmemchr() function locates the first occurrence of wc in the initial n wide-characters of the object pointed to be ws. This function is not affected by locale and all wchar_t values are treated identically. The null wide-character and wchar_t values not corresponding to valid characters are not treated specially. If n is 0, ws must be a valid pointer and the function behaves as if no valid occurrence of wc is found.RETURN VALUESThe wmemchr() function returns a pointer to the located wide-character, or a null pointer if the wide-character does not occur in the object.ERRORSNo errors are defined.ATTRIBUTESSee attributes(5) for descriptions of the following attributes: +-----------------------------+-----------------------------+ | ATTRIBUTE TYPE | ATTRIBUTE VALUE | +-----------------------------+-----------------------------+ |Interface Stability |Standard | +-----------------------------+-----------------------------+ |MT-Level |MT-Safe | +-----------------------------+-----------------------------+SEE ALSOwmemcmp(3C), wmemcpy(3C), wmemmove(3C), wmemset(3C), attributes(5), standards(5) SunOS 5.11 14 Aug 2002 wmemchr(3C)
