digiconsole

I have a digiconsole server to manage solaris servers.
Now i need to shutdown/reboot this digiconsole.
I am wondering is it different to shutdown/reboot the digiconsole compared to normal server ? if so anybody please suggest me how to do that. Does shutting down and rebooting digiconsole affect other servers that are managed by the digiconsole.

Thanks in advance!

You can reboot a Digi CM via web interface (just click on the "reboot" link on the bottom end of the menu) or via ssh admin interface (connect to port 22 using ssh, login as "admin" and select menu option b "exit and reboot"). Then wait for one or two minutes and you are done. The reboot is not different from normal servers because the Digi CM is running embedded linux.
The servers connected to the serial ports should not be affected by the reboot.

Thank you! hergp.

I can login as admin to digi CM device and when i press 'b' it takes me to OK prompt.
I am wondering how could i shutdown the digiconsole from OK prompt for hardware maintenance for 30mins and restart it.

Thanks in advance!

You can login as root instead of admin and then you get a plain shell prompt. You can use the shutdown command as you would on a normal linux server.

The default passwort for root is mentioned in the user guide (it's "dbps").
