pt Pointer to the ptype list to be freed DESCRIPTION
freeptype frees the ptype_list pointed to by pt. All the elements of the list are put back in the list of free blocks. EXAMPLE

pthead Pointer to a ptype list type Flag indicating the pointer owner DESCRIPTION
getptype looks for a ptype element in the list pointed to by pthead. RETURN VALUE
getptype returns a pointer to the ptype that match the type. Be careful, it is not the ptype->DATA that is returned. If no ptype has the given type, then NULL is returned. EXAMPLE

What is the point of this? Whenever I close my shell it appends to the history file without adding this. I have never seen it overwrite my history file. # When the shell exits, append to the history file instead of overwriting it shopt -s histappend (3 Replies)

Undeletable file

Greetings, I'm trying to delete a file with a weird name from within Terminal on a Mac. It's a very old file (1992) with null characters in the name: “␀␀Word FinderÂŽ Plus™”.
