Data SSL Problems with IE but not Mozilla

Hello all,

we have the following problem: Just today the ssl certificate (intermediate from verisign) needs to be changed because it is running off. Now, after we installed the new certificate, we see by using mozilla 1.5 that the certificate is correctly used. But when we use IE version 6.0, then the browser doesnt want to use the right certificate.
Does anyone understand our problem, may he can help us?
If someone like`s to test: https://www.karstadtquellebank.de

THX & best regards..

Hi,

The problem is with the certificates that IE has installed, it looks that they're not updated... What is expired is the certificate above yours, that belongs to Verisign ( CPS Incorp. by Ref. LIABILITY LTD.(c)97 Verisign ), expired yesterday, so every certificate below, like yours, is not valid too...
I don't know if there're any update for this from MS, the PC where I tried this is not updated... try windowsupdate...

ps: this is not a unix question...

Make sure to check that when using Mozilla, you are accessing the new certificate. Check the expiration date on it ( I think you can double click on the lock in the browser window). It may be that Mozilla just doesnt complain when the certificate is expired. Also, Did you reboot your web server after installing the new intermediate cert.?
