YouTube: How to Use Code Tags and Format Posts @UNIX.com

By special request, and long overdue, I have updated our "code tags" video and so now we have:

How to Use Code Tags and Format Posts @UNIX.com in 4K

Code:

In this casual video, we review how to use CODE, ICODE and QUOTE tags in 4K video for formatting posts at the UNIX and Linux Forums (unix.com).

Experience shows that when people have technical questions and they format their unix and linux technical questions well using the proper formatting tags, they always get better responses to their tech and coding questions.

Machines cannot format nearly as well as humans do, so please format your posts, especially when you post file content, input, output, commands, scripts, error messages and so forth.

Thanks!

FYI, I changed the YT link in the video above to:

YouTube

For some reason the original video link was having some issues with 4K HD, so this video is in 1080 HD (hopefully).

Google is making some changes to how YT videos are uploaded (there is some new beta uploader), so maybe the error is all mine.

If you liked the prior video, please like this one as well.

Thanks.

Hi Neo...

Good one.
I see you edited mine... <wink>

Actually I type in the tags as I need them rather than use the interface, but a good tutorial nevertheless...
And I viewed the site on my phone for the first time in ages today and it is much more user friendly for mobile/portable usage.

Keep up the good work...
