The file name is limited to 14 characters. No checking is done to make sure that the file exists. The value of msgcat determines what happens to the default message catalog: string Sets the default message catalog to string. NULL Returns a pointer to the current default message catalog. The default catalog is not changed. empty string Resets to no catalog.RETURN VALUEUpon successful completion, returns a pointer to the default catalog.
