NAME
XmSetMenuCursor -- A function that modifies the menu cursor for a client
SYNOPSIS
#include <Xm/Xm.h>
void XmSetMenuCursor(
Display * display,
Cursor cursorId);
DESCRIPTION
XmSetMenuCursor programmatically modifies the menu cursor for a client; after the cursor has been created by the client, this function reg-
isters the cursor with the menu system. After calling this function, the specified cursor is displayed whenever this client displays a
Motif menu on the indicated display. The client can then specify different cursors on different displays.
This function sets the menu cursor for all screens on the display. XmSetMenuCursor is obsolete and exists for compatibility with previous
releases. Instead of using this function, provide initial values or call XtSetValues for the XmScreen resource XmNmenuCursor.
display Specifies the display to which the cursor is to be associated
cursorId Specifies the X cursor ID
RELATED XmScreen(3).

SYNOPSIS
XRecolorCursor(display, cursor, foreground_color, background_color)
Display *display;
Cursor cursor;
XColor *foreground_color, *background_color;
XFreeCursor(display, cursor)
Display *display;
Cursor cursor;
Status XQueryBestCursor(display, d, width, height, width_return, height_return)
Display *display;
Drawable d;
unsigned int width, height;
unsigned int *width_return, *height_return;
ARGUMENTS
Specifies the RGB values for the background of the source. Specifies the cursor. Specifies the drawable, which indicates the screen.
Specifies the connection to the X server. Specifies the RGB values for the foreground of the source. Specify the width and height of the
cursor that you want the size information for. Return the best width and height that is closest to the specified width and height.
DESCRIPTION
The XRecolorCursor function changes the color of the specified cursor, and if the cursor is being displayed on a screen, the change is vis-
ible immediately. The pixel members of the XColor structures are ignored; only the RGB values are used.
XRecolorCursor can generate a BadCursor error.
The XFreeCursor function deletes the association between the cursor resource ID and the specified cursor. The cursor storage is freed when
no other resource references it. The specified cursor ID should not be referred to again.
XFreeCursor can generate a BadCursor error.
Some displays allow larger cursors than other displays. The XQueryBestCursor function provides a way to find out what size cursors are
actually possible on the display. It returns the largest size that can be displayed. Applications should be prepared to use smaller cursors
on displays that cannot support large ones.
XQueryBestCursor can generate a BadDrawable error.
DIAGNOSTICS
A value for a Cursor argument does not name a defined Cursor. A value for a Drawable argument does not name a defined Window or Pixmap.

I have seen some misinformation regarding Unix file permissions. I will try to set the record straight. Take a look at this example of some output from ls:

I used to use ls -l cut to detrmine file size, and google searches didn't come up with anything else but 'stat' which doesn't appear on HPUX.
I discovered the humble 'wc -c' which does this job very neatly, and thought I would share it. (7 Replies)

I am very new to HP-UX, and we're going to be doing a SAN migration.

What is the point of this? Whenever I close my shell it appends to the history file without adding this. I have never seen it overwrite my history file.
