NAME
sig_named - send signals to the domain name server
SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
sends the appropriate signal to the domain name server The process ID is obtained from or from the command (see ps(1)) if does not exist. Operands recognizes the following operands: Kill the name server process. Signal the name server to reload its database. Previous Functionality The command shipped with earlier versions of BIND was used to dump the database, to set debug levels, and to obtain statistics. You can use the utility for that purpose instead. See rndc(1).
