uchcom -- WinChipHead CH341/CH340 serial adapter driver
SYNOPSIS
To compile this driver into the kernel, place the following lines in your kernel configuration file:
device usb
device ucom
device uchcom
Alternatively, to load the driver as a module at boot time, place the following line in loader.conf(5):
uchcom_load="YES"
DESCRIPTION
The uchcom driver provides support for the WinChipHead CH341/CH340 USB-to-RS-232 Bridge chip.
The device is accessed through the ucom(4) driver which makes it behave like a tty(4).
HARDWARE
The uchcom driver supports the following adapters:
o HL USB-RS232
SEE ALSO tty(4), ucom(4), usb(4)HISTORY
The uchcom driver first appeared in NetBSD. The first FreeBSD release to include it was FreeBSD 8.0.
BUGS
Actually, this chip seems unable to drive other than 8 data bits and 1 stop bit line.

I am using Redhat 9 Linux, and am trying to get my external usb drive mounted (fat32). If I look at the KDE Control panel, it lists a usb 2.0 storage device under "USB Devices" (also in /proc/bus/usb), and under "SCSI" as scsi1. Where can I get a driver that support usb flash drives for my unix machines. I need a solution to transfer data easily for techs. I am running C3750 and c8000 HP equipment.

When i load my block device driver in Fedoracore10 kernel 2.6.27. i got this type of error kernel panic - not syncing : Fatal exception in interrupt. I am unable to save the log file....

hi, i am on a quest to access and even mount if possible a drive on os x. there is no driver for the device, but it lists fine in the system profiler. can i access its location from the terminal? how? here is what i get on the system profiler:

Regarding carrier detection on FreeBSD 9.1 being run within Virtual Box:

I would probably set all my rubber points here to get some real help for creating a boot device on a usb-stick. There is no CD-drive on this machine, thats why I need to use a usb-stick. And scrumming in a CD-drive to fuddle around in the fstab or something like that is out of reach.
