Find difference in two files

Hola,

Gracias.

I don't speak spanish, sorry, but I guess you are looking for something like this:

Code:
grep -vf file1 file2; grep -vf file2 file1
Cordoba
Huelva
Hola

Hi,
Sorry for speaking in Spanish.
When you run that command gives me this error:

Code:
grep: illegal option - f
Usage: grep-hblcnsviw pattern file. . .

Ok let's try with awk (gawk, nawk):

Code:
$> awk 'NR==FNR{_[$1]=$1; next} ! _[$1]' file1 file2
Cordoba
Huelva
$> awk 'NR==FNR{_[$1]=$1; next} ! _[$1]' file2 file1
Hola

I have currently no idea to write it more compact - I hope it helps though.

Thanks,
I obtain this error:

Code:
awk: syntax error near line 1
awk: bailing out near line 1

Try this:

Code:
awk '
NR==FNR{a[$0]=$0;next}
a[$0]{delete a[$0];next}
END{for(i in a){if(a[i]){print a[i]}}}1' file1 file2

Use nawk or /usr/xpg4/bin/awk on Solaris.

Sorry do not quite understand why tell me to use nawk or / usr/xpg4/bin/awk. How Could you use it? For example it does not work?

Thanks
