The following files were wiped out - new empty files were left in their place.
/etc/inittab, /etc/inetd.conf, and /etc/MANPATH
The system is running HP-UX 11i v3 - Mar08.
Anyone seen anything like this?

NOTE the single quote delimiters in the expression. It's highly likely the 'LINE' may very well have characters in it... (3 Replies)

I always thought that #!/usr/bin/ksh means that the script would be executed in korn shell i.e. when we'll execute the script with this line as the very first line then the shell spawns a korn shell (in this case as we are using #!/usr/bin/ksh ) and the script gets executed.

Hi, I have network mount on two servers.
One server I can create any directories without any issues, other server with the similar mount, I am not able to create directories starting with number!
Creation, name start with a number:
